“Your personal core values define who you are.”
Tony Hsieh
Just like your personal core values define who you are, the values of the Foundation define the way we interact with each other, with partners, with sponsors, donors, and those who we support. Our values set the scene at every meeting and underpin every transaction and interaction. These values are very important to us as a team:

Respect
It does not matter who you are, what culture you belong to, the religion you follow or the orientation you identify with. Respect is given from the outset and not earned.
Restoring dignity
We believe that every vulnerable person deserves to be treated with dignity. Every living being deserves to know what it feels like to have worth, regardless of where they find themselves in life.
Love
Our work is grounded in love – it is what makes our world go round. Because of love, we care enough to want to make a difference in the lives of those who have little.
Fighting poverty
We believe that vulnerable children, families, and communities across South Africa can have a happy, healthy, and prosperous future if given a helping hand.
Being accountable
We accept and love our humanness. No one is perfect but we can accept our mistakes, acknowledge them, learn from them, and see them as an opportunity to grow. This is transparency and accountability, and it is what we practice at the Foundation.
Champion partnerships
We believe that partnering with corporate and local communities is vital to making a meaningful and long-lasting impact in our fight against poverty.
